Polly Ranton Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Got the Bose soundbar 600 and bass module 500. It’s amazing love the crisp sound of the SB and good filling lows on the BM. I have the LG UR7500 and have used the eArc as mode of connection. I wanted to experience the Dolby atmos. But I see that not many movies aren’t available. I tried downloading few movies with Dolby atmos and play it with the usb. I can feel bit of the spatial sound but I think it’s more of the Bose trueSpace effect and not the atmos. Can you guys help me how I can experience true actual Dolby atmos. Quote
Stanryder Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 If you are on a firmware lower than 9.x try to deny the firmware update if possible in any way... It made the sound so much worse for me Quote
Grant Anderson Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Good combo, I rock them too! BM shakes my bathroom mirror😅 Quote
GeneralKenobi Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 You need to have a source that can transmit Atmos content. Check if your TV far ATMOS support and make sure to use a HDMI connection with the soundbar. Quote
Leon Houw Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 I'm not familiar with LG TV settings, but you want to make sure the TV is passing the sources audio codec through to the bar without doing its own encoding. On my Sony TVs, the setting is something like "Audio Passthrough" The Bose App will tell you which codec the bar is receiving, so that's the way to verify if you're getting Atmos. You're correct that Truespace spacializes all content into a pseudo atmos listening experience. It does a pretty good job, but I've found that well mixed atmos content does sound better, more convincing on both my soundbar 600 and 900. Quote
