JackCase9 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Besides AI and Camera improvements do you think it will be the same old phone? I’m planning on upgrading from my iPhone 12. Quote
Freed1 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Any unlikely surprises? Probably 90+ Hz on the non-pro 16 and faster charging. But like I said, it’s pretty unlikely for this year’s models until maybe the 17. Quote
etchasketchkid Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 It will pretty much be the same phone as the iPhone 15/Pro. But coming from an iPhone 12, if you decide to go for the 16 Pro, you’ll get some improvements. Notably the processor, the higher MP cameras, the higher refresh rate screen and the newer processor and thus Apple Intelligence. Other perks will be Dynamic Island and a bigger battery. If Rumors are correct, faster charging speeds and better battery tech will also be there Quote
UselessKit Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 It would be great if they finally did the anti reflective screen that Samsung has. Maybe on the pro models and the non pro will get the 120hz display. Quote
Daniel Red Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 For the regular 15 vs regular 16, beside AI and camera, you will likely get the action button. This is somewhat a game changer since you can program the mute mode (or mute switch) to activate with shortcuts since it's now software controlled. You can for example disable mute at work with a focus mode, allow some app to send notifications and block other app. That email will make a sound on your phone, but it will be a vibration at home without ever touching a button (if programmed well). With the regular 15, it can't be programmed. You gotta turn it off/on all the time and it's more likely to be always on mute mode because of this... Quote
