I own both, but if I HAD to keep one it would be Kobo, as renting library books instead of buying has it paying for itself in no time!

While I'm not a "Kindle Fanboy" ebooks are far cheaper on Kindle. Kobo does appear to be closing the gap on price through and I do like that Kobo plus now includes audiobooks as well.
