This is what a lot of people ignore when they seem to oppose the idea of Pro consoles. Even if you arent interested the tech they introduce will help with games and systems in the future. This will allow them to further improve and provide developers experience with PSSR/machine learning and ray tracing tech that will be in the PS6 and beyond.
And people at the same time that want better image quality and can afford it have the option to buy a PS5 Pro
And they say
I do think that PS5 Pro does a much better job in enhancing current generation games than PS4 Pro did back in 2016.
Which goes against the narrative that the PS4 Pro was needed but not the PS5 Pro
