  1. I recently switched from iOS to a Pixel 8, and honestly, I regret it. The data transfer was a hassle—things like Keychain and app backups (like Microsoft Authenticator) don’t carry over smoothly. What I miss most is the Apple ecosystem. Everything just worked seamlessly between my iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, and my partner’s iPhone. Features like shared calendars, iMessage, and AirDrop have Android alternatives, but they usually require third-party apps. Bottom line: If you’re happy with iOS, it’s probably best to stick with it.
  2. it's wild that there is zero built-in guidance for activating Apple Intelligence after performing the update. i assumed something had went wrong, and luckily stumbled into this thread via a web search. Apple's main marketing push for the iPhone 16 are unreleased features, and then when they do add some of those features weeks after the device launch, they don't even guide you towards activating them? i've been an iPhone user since the first one, and this whole launch just feels so strange compared to past ones.
  3. May be commonplace. But this definitely shouldn’t be normal. If this is truly the case (and it’s not just a case of bloated cache) then devs need to chill the fuck out and optimize better. There is absolutely zero reason an app like instagram or TikTok need to be over 100mb let alone in the GIGAbytes. The content is pulled live from the internet for fucks sake. What’s stored on the phone? Code and asset images.
