I love my Model Y and have driven it for 35,000 kilometres so far. My one biggest grip would be the volatile pricing. I paid $82,900 for my Tesla and considered this a great deal as it was listed for as high as $99,000, however, you can now get this exact model new for $74,290. I'm normally quite careful to buy only cars with high resale values because I'm too fickle to usually keep a car longer than a couple of years so this stings a lot.
Tesla claims a zero-to-100 kilometre an hour acceleration of 3.7 seconds for the Model Y Performance, but my car is not so quick when the battery is not fully charged.
One thing I do love is a couple of years ago, my wife and I were spending about $1,000 a month on gas, and now ourr two cars cost about $80 a month in electricity.
The 15-inch screen is a wonderful thing when the car is parked because it really does transform the vehicle into a living room. I catch up on my favourite Netflix series while waiting for my son at sports practice: The car is kept warm without needing to idle, and the surround-sound is phenomenal. There's definite downs to the model Y.. but on the whole I love mine.
