  1. Ultra Wideband (UWB) Chip: Absent in the iPhone 16e, this omission affects precision tracking capabilities for devices like AirTags. Display Enhancements: The phone features a 6.1-inch OLED display but lacks ProMotion and Always-On Display technologies, and is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate.
  2. I've not heard of any new Sony Tv products being written about for CES 2025 and am surprised.. did any debut this year?
  3. I think you actually just highlighted exactly how the Air is competitive: it divides the demand into separate audiences. For people who want all the input methods, nothing is going to replace the Steam Deck, and you're never going to physically fit all those inputs on a small form factor. For people who want portability, nothing is going to replace form factor. The fact that the Aya Neo Air can achieve half the performance of a device twice its size and still fit two extra shoulder buttons is an exciting achievement. For me, there's no price low enough that Valve could sell the Steam Deck—I'd still go with the Air or a GPD Win. How a handheld fits into your life is more important than how it feels in the moment, because the former is what determines whether you will actually use it or not.
  4. Someone taking their time to make a post on reddit is not representative of the general population. When pixels show their sales figures, then we'll know for sure if iphone users switched en masse. I'm going to guess they didn't.
  5. I bought it for pretty cheap yesterday (£650 down from £800, still brand new etc, John Lewis just had it on sale) I did kinda impulse buy it, I’ve wanted a new, better smart watch for ages since my old Fitbit died a hefty death but hadn’t decided fully yet when I bought the AWU But I’m not at all used to spending large (for me) amounts of money on myself, and I’m a little worried to set it up (I haven’t yet) because what if I’ve made an impulsive mistake and should return it (no returns after it’s been linked to my Apple account). Is this the right watch for me and this is useless panicking or is there something better? Reasons I got it beside the price: I’m a rock climbing instructor, avid hiker, ice climber etc. my Fitbit screen was all types of smashed so the sapphire screen really appealed to me. Read some reviews from other climbers before buying and all said they’d never had a scratch on their screen no matter how many rocky crevices they jammed it in. hiking. I am frequently up a mountain, hours from anyone, in snow, alone. The GPS call feature is great for that. I got the iPhone 15 pro earlier this year for this exact reason, but the watch has a significantly longer battery life. It’s also got great maps capability, GPS with way markers etc. I looked at Garmins, but all the ones I found with these map capabilities were significantly more expensive than the AWU2. But maybe I’m missing some options? music. I use Apple Music, which isn’t supported on Garmin, so I’d have to get a different music subscription and I don’t like Spotify nor Amazon music as much. swimming. I love wild swimming, and im currently training for a triathlon, so being able to swim with it was a big plus compared to the much cheaper Series 9 - same for the scratch resistance etc.
  6. Welcome! It was certainly the best decision I ever made regarding a streaming service. A+++
  7. First, a little background: Oura is a smart ring, an emerging category but one Oura is top of. For now, at least. It's lined with sensors, which measure biometric data 24 hours a day, and uses it to help you strike the right balance of rest and activity. The fact that it’s a ring means you have to rely on its well-designed smartphone app when you want to check your stats, but also means that heart rate data is more accurate, as the blood vessels in your fingers are much closer to the surface than those in your wrist. The latest Oura, released back in 2021, has a brand new optical heart rate sensor that now tracks data 24 hours a day meaning you can spot-check your pulse any time, and easily review changes over time. It also means the app has much more data to draw on when assessing your activity and recovery habits, making its guidance much more accurate and useful. It's our top choice for best sleep tracker, at least while we wait to see if the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring can knock it off its perch, or perhaps an unannounced Oura Ring 4. There’s a new SpO2 sensor, as well, which also benefits from being on your finger rather than your wrist, plus seven temperature sensors to track changes in skin temperature. The Oura app collects and analyzes all this data, but never gives you figures without context. No matter how far you drill down through the graphs and charts, there’s always a detailed explanation of how it was calculated, what it means, and what action you can take to improve your rest/activity balance. Your heart rate variability is lower than usual, which means you may be stressed – perhaps consider a relaxation session. You got to bed on time, but had less REM sleep than you should – consider cutting back on the caffeine.
  8. Looking at the new Panasonic Lumix S9 to cut down on the amount of editing I need to do to pictures (so time consuming)- will it be as good?
