  1. I was having this very same dilemma but mine was just between SD Oled and Ally X, I eventually chose the SD Oled because of the way I’ll be using it ie the ability to suspend and resume minutes, hours or days later and just carry on where you’ve left off is more valuable to me than processing power, also I’ve bought the XBPlay app on the deck so I can remote play my Series X through it for the most demanding games.
  2. Why do you think that is finally? iPhone users coming to their senses? Form factor? Tired of the same ole phone every year? If anything, I thought apple was genius for trapping their audience in their ecosystem black hole... So, for all of you iPhone users who switched after xxx years with apple, why now? Simple curiosity, not trying to stir the pot 👍
  3. If you have a Series 9: No If you have a series 7-8: Maybe If you have a Series 4-6: Almost definitely If you have a Series 0-3 somehow: You're in for an absolute treat of an upgrade, I wish I had that kind of patience
  4. keep hearing about this noplace app and I still have no idea what its purpose actually is. Help?
  5. I recommend buying the stand-off kit on Amazon and also either a 90 degree cable or the adapter for your cable, even if you don’t plan to use them. Also, you may not need the extra fan up top. I’m running a 5800x3d with an aio and my 3080 doesn’t go above 68 deg. There’s so many tweaks and modifications you can make to your meshy that having these already available makes it easier and quicker to test out configs. Have fun!! It took me like a solid 8 different configs until I found exactly what I liked and I absolutely love my build now
  6. With the much-maligned 'personas' which are uncanny valley avatars.... I think this is going to be the weakest part of the AVP.
  7. Here's a decent YouTube video on some of the alleged leaked specs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iARoiDCk_bY
  8. Let's get a quick show of hands to see who's orders have been collected/received on time!
  9. I think this is more of a symptom of the current economy then a shortcoming of the product. We're desperate to see a viable third player in the GPU space though so I hope this is not true.
  10. The reality is, with the weight of the AVP having the battery away from the main HMD unit is going to be a benefit not a drawback. In addition it'll allow for higher capacity batteries later down the line, all whilst reducing the weight and fatigue on the users head.
  11. It's just Netflix, Spotify etc playing hard-ball with Apple, probably in protest of their app-store fee structure. They'll be usable in Safari and eventually, when the demand is there, I'm sure we'll see Native apps.
  12. HP's aren't typically the go-to brand for gaming peripherals (including monitors) but this Spec ticks a lot of boxes... I thik we're going to finally see the year of Oled for PC's in 2024.... CES has a lot going on if rumours are to be believed.
  13. It's not my favourite NZXT case but for £60 it's a pretty good deal.

    iMac rumours

Rumours about the 32" iMac have been going around forever now. Given that Apple have even said "and that completes the new Apple Mac lineup" in one of their recent events (I can't remember which, maybe the M3 announcement) then I'm not sure these are gonna happen. Just can't see there's a market for them anymore, people that need the extra size and resolution will just buy external displays and either a Mac Mini or a Macbook. Maybe I'm wrong. I still think the 24" redesign was lacklustre - so if they launched a 32" with a sleeker design and smaller bezels, I'd be interested.
  15. There's more to it than just the size. The 16 has a longer battery life (because it has a larger battery in the chassis) and some argue that the 16's have better airflow/cooling capabilities because they're less cramped internally, whether or not this is true I'm not sure. On the battery note, some comparisons suggest the 16 inch has an extra 4 hours battery compared with the 14 inch, which is pretty significant if that's important to you. Trade off is less portable and heavier. On the performance side you can also get more cores on the 16 inch variants (12 and 18 cores) vs 11 and 14 cores on the smaller model.
