does FreeSync Premium actually work right on an Nvidia card

ive got a 3060 and every budget monitor i like is FreeSync Premium, not a native G-Sync module. i know nvidia calls it G-Sync Compatible now but does it actually behave, especially when frames drop below the sync floor (that 48fps thing). does low framerate compensation kick in on a FreeSync panel...
