First proper cold snap with the Han and the gap between brochure and reality is yawning. WLTP says 521 km on the long-range. Last week, motorway run from Birmingham to Glasgow at a steady 70 mph indicated, cabin at 21°C, two adults, normal load — I scraped 320 km before the trip computer started shouting at me. That's a 38% haircut. Battery preconditioning was on. I slowed to 65 for the last stretch and gained a bit but not much. Heat pump's doing its job, the screen says it's pulling about 0.6 kW, so it's not the climate that's killing me. It's just that wading through cold dense air is expensive in a saloon this big. In the summer I was seeing 4.0 mi/kWh comfortably on the same route. Now I'm at 2.6. What are people getting on theirs in 0–5°C motorway conditions? Am I in the normal band or is something off?
